UNITED NATIONS OBSERVER

Very first edition, in a very long time, of a “United Nations Military Observer” (UN MILOBS) internship at the Bamako Peacekeeping School.

Started Monday morning, it brings together French-speaking and English-speaking soldiers from all over the continent (including a female officer), who came to receive the good word from our experts. Lasting three weeks, this training funded by Germany usually allows individuals to be sent on a UN mission to isolated posts, in conflict zones, to purely observation missions, never to intervention. Their competence, their impartiality and their composure are then the only weapons at their disposal to be recognized and respected by the parties involved.

Note that this training in Bamako ends with a superb exercise in the field where, during three long days and as many nights, the applicants are subjected to the brutalities of the enemy (fortunately fictitious) and to the vagaries of life in the countryside, in the middle of nowhere and (soon) in the rain.

Good luck to the new promotion, we're together!
