TRIPLETS!…

It is a beautiful end of training ceremony which has just ended in Bamako.

It presented a double peculiarity compared to what is usually practiced in our walls. First of all, it was raining heavily over the city and everyone got their fill of raindrops, invited as interns. Then, it was to end three courses at the same time, a combi “Human Rights-Gender and OSP” and a “United Nations Battalion Command Post” training.

So many people, both trainees and guests, including representatives from Switzerland and France, sponsors of two of these training actions.

Beautiful things were said, particularly by the representatives of the trainees who knew how to convey the emotion through simple and evocative words. Thus was appreciated the parable of the hummingbird firefighter, where “everyone does their part” in the burning forest.

The school will now close for a short week (Fête du Mali and Tabaski oblige).
An “Honorary triplet” for the many trainees, instructors and guests this morning…
