Created by Ordinance No. 2019-003 / P-RM of 04 March 2019, the Mali National Guard is a military formation placed under the authority of the Minister in charge of the armed forces.
Very decentralized force, it is characterized by:
Its flexibility in terms of its structures
Its reversibility;
Its proximity to the populations;
And its ability to provide information.
MISSION
Contribute to the Operational Defense of the Territory;
Fight against terrorism and organized crime;
Participate in border surveillance.
Provide security for the benefit of administrative and political institutions and authorities;
Ensure the protection of high national or foreign personalities;
Participate in public safety and the maintenance of public order;
Ensure the escort of equipment or delegations;
Participate in the execution of court decisions and regulations
administrative;
Participate in actions in favor of peace and humanitarian assistance.
LINKS WITH THE POPULATION
The National Guard of Mali participates in the economic development of the country (securing
the road to Kwala, Sévaré,
Douentza);
Building trust with the population requires the professionalism that we cultivate in the exercise of our missions;
Assistance of humanitarian actions;
Ensures the security of the population mainly at the border lines (Yanfolia, Kangaba, mining areas where there are all kinds of conflicts);
The National Guard of Mali in the most remote corners, participates in the appeasement of the social climate for example when there are land conflicts between neighboring villages, the National Guard of Mali
intervenes quickly to get people talking, to calm the conflict.
