“PC-BAT UN” INTERNSHIP IN KOULIKOURO

From April 06 to 24, 2015, a Mobile Instruction Team (MTT) from the EMP supervised a promotion from the Staff School of Koulikouro (Mali). The aim of this training was to provide 21 officers from 9 French-speaking African countries with the necessary skills to implement a “United Nations Battalion Command Post” (UN PC-BAT) deployed in an OSP.
The 4 EMP instructors took the opportunity to improve the knowledge of the student trainees on the United Nations system, the African Union, the Rules of Engagement (ROE), the contemporary operating environment, the legal instruments available to them. peacekeepers, ACMs, DDR, SSR, but also Gender and OSP, among other areas addressed during the long days of instruction.
The EMP delivers training courses of this type to the Armed and Security Forces of Mali, but also for the benefit of other nations which express a need, mainly in Africa.
