SRSG ANNADIF participated this morning at the Peacekeeping School in the opening ceremony of the high-level seminar on “initiatives for crisis management in the Sahel”, alongside the Prime Minister, HE Moctar Ouane, as well as representatives of the G5 Sahel Secretariat, the ECOWAS Commission, the Director of the School of Peacekeeping, and the Ambassador of Japan.
In his intervention, the SRSG underlined the importance of synchronized and coordinated approaches to the threats that surround the Sahel. He also stressed the need for an integral approach including institutional strengthening. He welcomed the presentation of the Malian government's action plan which offered a window of opportunity to be seized.
