UN-CIMIC Internship

On Monday March 09, 2020, the EMP-ABB began conducting the UN-CIMIC internship planned over a period of 2 weeks, but suspended on Wednesday March 18, 2020 following government instructions and the implementation of the Anti-Coronavirus System of the EMP-ABB (DAC2020). This training session brought together 23 trainees, including 3 women; 2 international instructors and 1 MINUSMA staff member. A total of 8 countries were represented: Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Togo and Mali. The UN-CIMIC course is designed to enable peace operations personnel – military, police and civilian – in service or to be deployed, to understand the importance of civil-military coordination; to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for its planning, the conduct of its activities, and the preparation of civil-military action reports.
