Exchange session between Dr. Niagalé and CARESS Masters in Peacekeeping Auditors

Friday February 21, 2020, Dr. Niagalé Bagayoko, specialist in security system reform issues in French-speaking Africa (RSS) and President of the African Security Sector Network (ASSN), met the auditors of the peacekeeping masters from the Center for 'Analysis and Research of the Sahelo-Sahelian Space (CARESS) of EMP-ABB.

Dr. Niagale Bagayoko was accompanied by Major General and High Commissioner for SSR (Security Sector Reform) M'Bemba Moussa Keïta. Among the participants in this session were also present, Colonel-Major Abdoulaye Sidibé, from the Prime Minister's Defense Cabinet and of course the Director General of EMP-ABB, accompanied by all available staff.

This meeting was an opportunity to share concrete experiences on the realities on the ground, with which the players in the maintenance and consolidation of peace in Mali and throughout the West African region in general are confronted; and to discuss the challenges of reforming the security system in Mali and more generally in the Sahel region.

The General Director of EMP-ABB, Colonel-Major Mody Béréthé, took the opportunity to reconfirm the availability of the CARESS database and the opening of the school to any type of partnership helping to maintain its level of excellence as a reference training center on issues of peacebuilding and support. On the tone of the invitation, the Director General of EMP-ABB emphasized to the listeners that it could even be that Dr. Niagalé Bagayoko finds the time to become the thesis director of one of the masters' auditors; who knows ?
