EMP-EMA COLLABORATION

From May 4 to 8, 2015, a mobile instruction team (MTT) from the Alioune Blondin Beye Peacekeeping School was able to deliver outside its walls a course of “Fundamental Knowledge on Peace Support Operations” (CONFUSED). This internship brought together 28 soldiers, interns from the Military School of Administration (EMA) of Mali, from 14 different countries (Benin, Cameroon, Côte d 'Ivoire, the Republic of Djibouti, Guinea Conakry, the Equatorial Guinea, France, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, the Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Chad and Togo).

This National School with Regional Vocation (ENVR) is the result of a Franco-Malian cooperation partnership and aims to train future administrators and financiers of African armies, officers and non-commissioned officers, through fairly dense education. Throughout their career, these soldiers will be called upon to assume logistical responsibilities, during possible deployments in PSOs within their national contingents. This is why their technical training at the EMA is advantageously supplemented by a pragmatic and exhaustive approach to peace operations, in the form of a five-day internship delivered on site in Koulikouro by a team from Bamako.

The school instructors therefore passed on their knowledge to these trainees from all over the continent, before the closing ceremony brought them together for the last time in the school's amphitheater. An appointment was made for a new experience of this type, enriching for both parties.
