DCSD VISIT

Visit this morning to the school of the Deputy Director of Security and Defense Cooperation of France, the diplomat Thierry Vankerk-Hoven. He had not come back to see us since 2009 in Bamako and he was very surprised to discover how the school was now firmly in the future.

After a formal presentation during which he was unveiled the next projects (Research Center and Master in Peacebuilding), our host took pleasure in visiting the classrooms of the two courses currently present and discussing with trainees in civilian clothes and in uniform. He finally confirmed that his country would continue to support the development of EMP through various actions to be planned together.

Initiator of the "School for the Maintenance of Peace" project in the last century, France has always been present in the major changes that the school has experienced, through an annual financial contribution to its operating budget, the purchase of internships such as "Command Post of a United Nations Battalion" or "UN Military Observer" and the establishment of a technical military cooperator as Director of Studies.
