80 TO THE COUNTER

Closing this morning of three courses essentially dedicated to the “Dressed Corps”, according to the official expression reserved for men and women in uniform.

Indeed, the courses “Command Post of a United Nations Battalion 2-2016”, “United Nations Police 3-2016” and “Human Rights in Peace Support Operations” come from complete in excellent conditions under the hot Bamako sun.

Funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Koulikouro Military School, respectively, these training actions concerned more than 80 members of the Defense and Security Forces of 17 African countries, i.e. a good third of the continent. Also note the presence of many representatives of MINUSMA, including a UN Police Officer from Kidal.

The seasoned officers of the PC-BAT therefore rubbed shoulders with the young shoots of the 18th promotion of the EMA, each benefiting from the knowledge of the other by capillarity of ideas.

Finally, the ceremony was enhanced by the presence of many members of the diplomatic representations present in Bamako, such as Senegal or Burkina Faso.

Thanks again to our generous sponsors, without whom any training would remain impossible and who, thanks to their observed and stubborn commitment, can count today 80 new supporters of Peace in Africa. We are together !
