Stage Poste de Commandement (PC) Bataillon en Mauritanie / Battalion Command Post (CP) course in Mauritania

Le stage s’adresse à des officiers d’état-major confirmés afin de leur donner le complément de connaissances et de savoir-faire indispensables à leur emploi dans un état-major de bataillon déployé dans le cadre d’une opération de soutien à la paix en Afrique.

Cette formation spécifique est conduite par quatre officiers de l’École de Maintien de la Paix (EMP) à Bamako :

• le Major [Commandant] François (Frank) PROVOST (Canada),

• le Commandant Oumarou MAIGA (Mali),

• le Lieutenant-colonel Komlan ADJITOWOU (Togo), et

• le Colonel Mahamadi GANSONRÉ (Burkina Faso).

ENGLISH VERSION :

A three-week course started on April 26th, 2010 in Nouakchott, Islamic Republic of Mauritania for the benefit of 26 Mauritanian officers belonging to the National Staff School, National Staff Headquarters, and the National Guard.

The course is dedicated to qualified Staff Officers in order to provide them the mandatory additional knowledge and skills to allow their deployment within a battalion headquarters in a Peace Support Operation in Africa.

This specific training is performed by four officers from the Peacekeeping School (École de Maintien de la Paix) in Bamako :

• Major François (Frank) PROVOST (Canada),

• Major Oumarou MAIGA (Mali),

• Lieutenant-Colonel Komlan ADJITOWOU (Togo), and

• Colonel Mahamadi GANSONRÉ (Burkina Faso).
