Ce stage s’est déroulé du 18 Mars au 1er Avril 2010 et intègre 25 stagiaires de 14 pays africains : Burkina-Faso, Burundi, Comores, Congo RD, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Niger, Nigeria, Ouganda, RCA, Sierra Leone, Tchad et Mali. Il est à noter la présence de 8 civils au nombre des stagiaires, et une femme commissaire.

L’apprentissage en salle est systématiquement prolongé par une mise en application sur le terrain comme par exemple une séance de destruction d’armes légères. Les stagiaires ont été évalués en fin de stage lors d’un exercice d’une journée consistant à réaliser un Centre de Désarmement, un Centre de Démobilisation pour réception des ex-combattants dans les environs de Bamako. Une cinquantaine de figurants ont été recrutés pour l’occasion afin d’améliorer le réalisme de l’exercice.

Préparé et dirigé par le Capitaine de frégate Mamadou KANE (Sénégal) Directeur de stage et instructeur permanant à l’EMP. Le stage a bénéficié de l’appui des instructeurs temporaires : Lieutenant-colonel COULIBALY Bamoro (Côte d’Ivoire) le Commandant KISBEDOU Etienne (Burkina-Fasso), et Mme Fatimata Bintou TARAORE (RCI). La remise des diplômes s’est déroulé le Jeudi 1er Avril 2010.Le prochain stage DDR aura lieu le 24 Mai 2010.

This course was scheduled from 18 March to 1 April 2010 and includes 25 trainees from 14 African countries : Burkina Faso, Burundi, Comoros, Congo DR, Ivory Cost, Djibouti, Gabon, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, RCA, Sierra Leone, Chad and Mali. Note the presence of 8 civilians in number of trainees, and a woman commissioner.

The classroom learning was systematically extended by an implementation on the ground such as a meeting of small arms destruction. Trainees were evaluated at the end of internship in a one-day exercise of achieving in a Center for Disarmament, and a Demobilisation Center to receive ex-combatants in the vicinity of Bamako. Fifty extras were recruited for the occasion to improve the realism of the exercise.

Prepared and led by Commander Mamadou KANE (Senegal) Director and instructor training Permanent the EMP. The course has benefited from the support of temporary instructors : Lieutenant-Colonel Bamoro Coulibaly (Côte d’Ivoire) KISBEDOU Commander Etienne (Burkina Faso) and Ms. Fatimata Bintou TARAORE (Côte d’Ivoire). The graduation ceremony took place on Thursday 1st April 2010.The next course DDR will be held 24 May, 2010.
